PRESIDENT'S  MESSAGE

I’m pleased to announce that at this years Eukanuba Dog Show, the CKCSCSC was awarded a Toy Group 1 for the Meet The Breed booth.  As you can see from the photos in the Gallery, the Victorian Garden came to life for two days December 1^st and 2^nd where many club members worked hard to educate the public on the breed and get in the competitive spirit with an elaborate set design that secured a great win! I want to thank everyone that joined in this effort, Breed Booth Chairman, Stephanie Hart, Audrey & Kent Johnson, Patty Kanan, Cindy Huggins, Marji McCormick, Sandy Harrison, Gwenn Crawford, Ken and Sue Miller, Joyce Bustrum, Margaret Mazotta, Rita Rudkin, Marji’s graddaughter Sarah and Luis & Jennifer Espinosa.  We look forward to 2008 and what our group will come up with! 

With the Breed Booth behind us, we ended the year with our Holiday Party aboard the Challenger in Alamitos Bay, Long Beach.  Thanks to Karen Shackleford for putting this great party together, and her dad, Willard May for supplying the the ship we all enjoyed so much.

With that said, we need to dig our heels in for the continued fight against AB1634 which is beginning now.  January started this ball rolling all over again and we need all the help we can get to support those fighting this Bill.

While we gear up for that, we are also hard at work putting together the May 2008 ACKCSC National Specialty to be held here in Pomona May 5^th - 8th, and following the specialty at the same venue will be our 3^rd Annual CKCSCSC Specialty Show May 9^th and 10^th.
